Anti-Harassment Policy

We are an all-inclusive group but in order to make sure everyone feels welcome and safe we’ve created this policy.

This is a statement of our principles and sets expectations for the tone and style of our events.

Diversity in Drones is dedicated to providing a harassment-free space and experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or skill level. We do not tolerate harassment in any form. This includes (but is not limited to) verbal comments that reinforce social structures, microaggressions, sexual language and imagery, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, any physical contact without consent, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Anyone violating these rules may be disqualified from the event and expelled from the area (without a refund) at the discretion of the event organizer. This also applies to online communities. Participants violating these rules may be removed from community groups at the admin’s discretion.

If you see our logo on an event or community, that means the organization has signed a Commitment to Diversity and an Anti-Harassment Pledge. Since this is a global organization we do not always have control over functions with our logo on it and we cannot guarantee this experience will be the same from group to group. Therefore, if you experience harassment of any form please contact our organization or any of our advocates directly and immediately. We will discuss the situation with you and work out a safe and comfortable way to handle it.

Questions? Contact us. Thanks for taking a pledge to make our community better for everyone.
